We aren't sitting still at Walla Walla Gun Club! We've added a brand new registered shoot for 2010, and changed our schedule somewhat, so please take a look at the shoot dates page on this website to see what's happening.

First, you'll note that the Spring Opener is a week later this year, March 13-14. The calendar being what it is, we moved back a week to accomodate a shoot at another local area gunclub. This shoot is a standard 600 bird shoot, Singles, Handicap & Doubles each day.

We are reviving the old Blue Mountain Shoot on April 23, 24, & 25. As many shooters will recall, the Blue Mountain Trap Association was founded in 1978 and had as its mission the establishment of an association much like the Camas Prairie Assoc. At one time, the BMTA had 16 clubs as members. This year, eight clubs so far have asked to be included in the organizational meeting scheduled at Walla Walla Gun Club on December 13, 2009. Anyone from any gun club is welcome to attend this meeting to see what we are all about.

We had to move our Spring Singles & Doubles Marathon to May 29, 30, & 31. This is because Easter falls on our regular shoot date of the first weekend in April. We are sorry that this weekend is also the Idaho State Shoot in Boise. We apoligize to all Idaho State shooters, and trust you'll understand if we were not able to help you get those 1,000 targets before your state shoot as in years past. We will probably throw a Doubles Marathon on Friday the 29th, and 500 singles targets each day on Saturday and Sunday. Exact program yet to be determined.

Please watch these pages in December, 2009 for announcement of the Washington State Shoot June 24, 25, 26, and 27. Walla Walla Gun Club has high hopes that the WSTA will award this great shoot to us this year. It has been over four years since it was here, so its reprise in Walla Walla would be a huge deal for us, and a great time for all shooters. We've promised a great social event as well as ATA shoot, so keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned in early December.

Our Fall Handicap Marathon is a week earlier than normal on September 11 and 12. Again, we moved a week to accomodate another shoot, this time the Big Yak shoot in Yakima. We hope many of our West-side PITA shooters will come to Walla Walla first, and get some ATA targets in before they head back home via Yakima for the Big Yak. Cross-registration available.

To all you members and friends alike, I say truly, “Thank you! It is great to be among you!”
